The Story Safe is built on the skills and experience of Rachel Edwards and Sasha Neal. Rachel and Sasha have collaborated on numerous projects and recently co-produced the oral history and theatre project Who Cares?


Rachel Edwards

Rachel set-up Tooting Arts Club, an award-winning site-specific theatre company based in South London, in 2012. In addition to their successful theatre productions, two of which transferred to the West End and New York City, TAC has also hosted music, poetry and comedy nights and several pop-up cinema events within the SW17 postcode. Rachel has also had over ten years experience as a communications skills trainer and coach, working in both the public and private sector. Rachel has trained in oral history interviewing and audio production and has experience of intergenerational work, benefitting first-hand from the knowledge and experience of Judith-Ish Horowicz MBE who is an intergenerational educator and practitioner. She also took part in the recent Oral Histories Symposium run by The Oral History Society.

Sasha Neal

Sasha is an oral historian, videographer and audio producer with 20 years’ experience of interviewing, editing and facilitation. She has created audio-visual content for clients such as Arts Award, Southwark Council, Booktrust and Fulham Football Club Foundation. Sasha completed advanced oral history training with the Oral History Society and Level 2 and 3 courses in Counselling with the CPCAB. She has a certificate in Reminiscence work from Wandsworth NHS.
